Hi my name is Lucy, I’m 45 and I’m a part time swimming teacher. I’m also a qualified horticulturalist and when I’m not in the swimming pool I spend a lot of time outdoors in the garden. Both of these environments as you can imagine can be harsh and drying on the skin.
I’ve suffered with eczema on and off since I was a child, but it was the beginning of last year that I really started to notice a marked change in my skin.
At the beginning of 2024 I was diagnosed with Seborrheic Dermatitis. I was told by my consultant that I could try and control it with steroids, but that there was no cure and I’d never get rid of it entirely. My face was red, itchy and flaky, and none of the usual treatments were working - perimenopausal symptoms and the fact that I’d neglected my skincare regime in recent times were also compounding the issue. I felt awful - so self-conscious.
I discovered Dalia Botanique on Instagram when someone I was following recommended the botanical facial serum. I decided at the very least I needed to improve my skincare regime now that I was in my 40’s, even if I couldn’t cure my Seborrheic Dermatitis. I loved the idea of using natural products that would be gentle on my skin - no hidden nasties, so I decided to give it a go. I was initially a little wary about using an oil, as all the ones I’d used in the past left my skin feeling heavy and greasy, but I was about to be pleasantly surprised.
Fast forward 12 months and not only has this fantastic facial oil helped me to up my skincare regime but it has completely cleared up my Seborrheic Dermatitis. My skin feels so soft and hydrated and the oil soaks in beautifully not leaving any nasty greasy residue.
As part of my daily skincare routine I now also use the Dalia Botanique Cleansing Oil. Another beautiful product which leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft. Both products are a joy to use, I now look forward to completing my daily skincare regime and feel so much happier and confident in my skin.
