The Power of Natural Oils for Mature Skin

I was introduced to Dalia Botanique products by my daughter who gave me a sample bottle of my favourite fragrance Rose Geranium Body Oil for Christmas last year. It felt so good after a shower that I bought larger bottle - and some trial sizes of Cleansing Oil and Botanical Serum.

Prior to this I had been using Clinique products for around 40 years (yes, I’m on the wrong side of 65): if it ain’t broke, why fix it? But since I retired, combining aging skin with a lot of exposure to the elements every day as I walk my dog (and believe me, we have the full range of elements on the coast of Cumbria) left me feeling as if I wasn’t doing my skin any favours.

I am very fortunate in having quite ‘calm’ skin which has never reacted to much: it’s always been quite dry, I’ve never been prone to breakouts and rarely wear makeup so I decided that I should reward my skin by giving it a bit more TLC than it’s previously had.

I love the ‘green’ smell of the cleansing oil and once I’d got my head round using an oil to cleanse my skin, I found it a therapeutic process to wash my face and then add a few drops of Botanical Serum to my regular moisturiser twice a day.

The serum is absorbed quickly so isn’t shiny, and my face feels nourished and protected. I may not look much different but I can feel the difference and that’s what counts.

In addition to the lovely body oil I have been using Mandarin & Geranium hand & body wash in the shower and have also recently started to use Dalia’s nail & cuticle oil on my very dry and previously ignored finger and toe nails. While I’ll never have model hands, my cuticles certainly feel & look better than before.

Aside from the personal benefits of these products I love that they are made from natural ingredients - and that they actually work!
